ABOUT SAIF Y KHAN
I am a Professor of Plant Sciences, specializing in Plant Physiology, Phytochemistry, and Pharmacognosy, with a strong focus on medicinally important species from the family Apocynaceae. My research explores plant-derived bioactive compounds with particular emphasis on their antidiabetic and anticancer potential.I integrate classical botanical knowledge with advanced analytical techniques, including HRLCMS, FTIR, and cell-based assays such as MTT on cancer cell lines. Through this multidisciplinary approach, I aim to contribute meaningful scientific insights into natural products and their therapeutic relevance in diabetes management and cancer research.I actively mentor students, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to academic writing through manuscripts and book chapters. I remain open to research collaborations, networking, and scholarly opportunities in the areas of Apocynaceae studies, plant physiology, pharmacognosy, and natural product pharmacology.
