ABOUT ROSARII GRIFFIN

I specialise in International and Comparative Education: Education for Global Sustainable Development, Education in Emergency Situations, Research Capacity Building in Higher Education and \'Education For All\' initiatives; Disability Studies, Qualitative and Quantitative Research Methods and Project Research Design; Business Ethics and Goal Setting. My research interests include: Global Education and AI, Social Justice, Gender and STEM, RRI issues (Responsible Research and Innovation), Sustainable Business Ethics, SCR, Disability and Business Educational Goals, Education For All, informal and non-formal education. I have published 5 books in the area of global education and development. I am currently working on a 6th book. I am a Board Member of the US Global Virus Network (GVN) with a particular interest in the role of education vis-á-vis pandemic responses, ensuring vaccine availability in the developing world and understanding better the root causes of vaccine hesitancy. At my University, I Chair UCC\'s Researcher Staff Association (UCCRSA) which supports researchers at the local level. At the National level, I am Secretary of the Irish Researcher Staff Association Board (IrishRSA) and Director/Secretary of \'International Consortium of Researcher Staff Association\'(ICoRSA). Collectively, we work towards making Researcher Careers more sustainable, secure and attractive for all. I am interested in Science Diplomacy, STEM, AI, Science Communication, Science Engagement and Science Diplomacy and the promotion of women and girls in this sector. Previously, I was a secondary school teacher teaching English and French which I very much enjoyed. I am very busy, but happy to be working towards a more just, sustainable and fairer world. I admire Bono\'s (U2) social justice stances; President Zelensky\'s leadership, courage and composure; Elder and former UN High Commissioner Dr Mary Robinson\'s passion for Social and Climate justice; Environmental (Climate Emergence) Champions - Pope Francis and Greta Thúnberg - in advocating for a more just, sustainable world. We can all make a difference in our own way, in our own inner/outer circles and spheres of influence, no matter how small and insignificant that may seem. It\'s not. Everything, seen and unseen, helps. Socially, I enjoy playing tennis, reading, writing and drinking copious cups of tea. But most of all, I enjoy spending quality time with my beloved daughters, who are also my best friends.
