ABOUT RON LEHNERT
After completing my medical studies at Charité and finishing my thesis in Neuropaediatrics, I began my residency in ophthalmology. However, I soon realized that my true passion lies in solving healthcare challenges through scalable tech solutions. In 2011, I co-founded Doxter GmbH, where I built Business Development, Sales and Medical Affairs from scratch as Managing Director. Following Doxter’s acquisition by Doctena SA in 2016, I took over as CEO of Doctena Germany GmbH, successfully integrating Doxter and Terminland Health into the new organization. Since leaving Doctena in 2018, I have been working as a digital health advisor, supporting startups like Vivy, Startup Bootcamp Digital Health, Mindable, Buddy Healthcare, Caterna Vision, and Lifetime. My focus: securing partnerships with health insurers, implementing go-to-market strategies, scaling sales organizations, and raising funds. Over the years, I have built a strong network across health insurers, digital health startups, hospitals, and healthcare professionals. In 2019, I co-founded the \"Spitzenverband Digitale Gesundheitsversorgung\"(SVDGV) to leverage the Digital Healthcare Act (DVG). That same year, I became a Co-Founder of Caterna Vision, where I continue to drive the scaling of Software-as-a-Medical-Device (SaMD) solutions through DiGA. Our mission: to establish the first ophthalmology DiGA reimbursed by all health insurers and recommended by ophthalmologists.
