Ensure proper deployment and effective implementation of Carrier policies to ensure proper reporting and accounting in accordance with US GAAP • Ensure timely and accurate monthly closing of all business units (BU) entities and at the BU consolidated EMEA level• Maintain a strong control environment through performance of Accounting and Control assessments at all local entities and sharing of operational and control best practices throughout EMEA.• Support and collaborate with entities in the scope to meet the requirements of the internal accounting control policy• Review account reconciliations of entities within the scope as part of the annual review of balance sheets.• Prepare a summary of non-conformities and/or improvements to be implemented by the entities and/or the subcontractor in charge of account reconciliations. • Review specific account reconciliations • Review and approve reconciliations between statutory accounts and US GAAP prepared by local and European entities.• Review the accounts closed by the entities at the end of the month: monthly review of variances in the balance sheet, income statement and control file, and seek explanations.• Follow up on any unresolved issues identified during the month-end closing.• Ensure that the new US GAAP accounting instructions have been disseminated and implemented by the entities.• Respond to Adhoc requests: coordination, data recovery, consistency analysis and data consolidation• Review Sarbanes-Oxley activities at European sites, including coordination of annual assessment of controls, completion of documentation, execution of testing requirements, supervisory review of compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, ITC, FCPA, ethics or GDPR.• Play a major role in the implementation of SAP S4 HANA (JIRA Testing)• Participate in the new implementation of Center Of Excellence of internal control
