About Remant Kumar Tiwari
What would a medical doctor do in sustainability? Sustainability needs engineers and engineering solutions! Dr. Remant has transcended boundaries of traditional paradigms of \'academics-occupation\' coherence. With a firm conviction that Sustainability is his IKIGAI, he has successfully overcome all myths and apprehensions. He enjoys unique distinction of being an ESG professional and a medical doctor. After practicing medicine for over 5 years, he decided to pursue his passion, i.e, to ensure sustainable, equitable, and inclusive growth. To translate his passion into profession, he pursued MBA in SM from IIM-Lucknow (with excellent academic records - Gold Medal and CGPA of 9.01/10). Remant has supported several clients in identifying key material issues, understanding ESG risks and opportunities, and developing strategic plans to mitigate risks and leverage opportunities. He has developed value-chain based sustainability frameworks for several clients. He has supported his clients with ESG disclosures on frameworks of Integrated Reporting, GRI, EcoVadis, DJSI, CDP, TCFD, etc. As public health professionals, he has worked on various national and state healthcare programmes such as NRHM, RCH, RNTCP, RI, JSSK, NSSK, etc. His assignments on health systems strengthening include biomedical waste management, health management information system, climate resilience and environmental sustainability of hospitals, operational and social efficiency of healthcare programmes, etc.
