ABOUT RAYCHEL B.
Promoting the well-being of children and young people, as well as empowering them to express their views is one of my strongest commitments. I enjoy working closely with families to ensure they play an active role in their child’s education and I am passionate about social inclusion and advocating for children and young people, especially those who are marginalised or vulnerable groups in society. I am currently and Senior Specialist Educational Psychologist at Bury City Council. My role specialises in Social Justice and EDI and aims to support the Community Educational Psychology team in applying principles of social justice when they are engaging with key stakeholders in the wider community. I have over 15 years of experience working with children and young people in the UK, Thailand, Sri Lanka and America. Whilst undergoing my undergraduate degree, I was involved in a range of community projects in the West Midlands, which aimed to support a wide range of children and young people as a Cybermentor, Student Mentor, Childline Helpline Operator, Support Worker, Teaching Assistant and an Assistant Psychologist.
