ABOUT RAJESH RAMACHANDRAN
As a Rehabilitation Officer at NIEPMD, I work with a multidisciplinary team to provide services and programmes for persons with disabilities, especially those with autism spectrum disorder. I have a PhD in Special Education and over 20 years of experience in the field of disability rehabilitation and inclusion. I am passionate about developing and applying innovative assistive technologies that can empower and enhance the quality of life of people with disabilities. I have received grants, awards, and recognition for my research and publications in this domain, including the Young Scientist Award, the Dr. Reeta Peshawaria Menon Fellowship Award, and the Best Paper Presenter Award. I have also authored, edited, and contributed to several books, chapters, articles, and bulletins on various topics related to special education and social work. I am also associated with a network forum on inclusion that aims to promote awareness and advocacy on disability rights and issues.
