Contribution to the Development of the Department Prime role to Provide Strong academic leadership Lead, manage and develop the department to ensure it achieves the highest possible standards of excellence in all its activities. Maintain the general discipline of the students and staff of the department. To oversee the smooth functioning of the department and ensuring consistent provision for academic ambiance. To mange and motivate all department staff, to enable the students to receive skilled education in the subject, in a positive, encouraging and effective working environment. To ensure the development of the Curriculum to keep up to date with relevant changes and to encourage a wide range of activities to learn the subject with practical skill. Designing the regulations, curriculum and syllabi. Arrange to pass the semester end examinations result by the Class Committee and forward it to the Controller of Examination/ Dean, Academic Courses for publication and record. Oversee the teaching performance, research activities and funded project of all faculty of his department. Purpose new programmes /courses and increase the in intake in consultation with Dean of the School and Faculty. To ensure all essential resource material is available for use as required. Carry out any other function as assigned by the Vice- Chancellor and Registrar.Contribution to the Conduct Examination of the Department Planning, Scheduling and Organization of examinations. Strictly complying with the university policies and procedures on conduct of examinations. Coordinating with schools and administration department for conducting exams. Managing physical record of result and examination answer book with respective class information. Managing physical records of examination results and answer book of each student (term-wise). Maintaining confidentiality and integrity of students’ academic records. Managing records of alumni and drops outs.
