SKILL: Expertise at the intersection of telecommunications domain (RAN and cross-layer), data and AI science, data engineering and cloud-native services-based architecture. Experienced with telco cloud infrastructure as well as device modem chipsets.PRODUCTS: Chief Architect of Mavenir’s award-winning Network Intelligence-as-a-Service (NIaaS) telco AI capability, and cloud-native RAN Intelligent Controller (RIC), Service Management and Orchestration (SMO) framework and Operational Support Subsystem (OSS) platforms and AI applications. Lead architect of world’s first O-RAN Near-RT RIC trial for AT & T’s 5G NSA network in Nokia RAN markets. AI CAPABILITIES: Designed, built and operationalized the world’s first full-stack telco AI capability, NIaaS, that ingests holistic intelligence and performs closed-loop optimization in full-scale auto-pilot mode in live Tier-1 telco deployments.MULTI-VENDOR / MULTI-CLOUD INTEGRATIONS: Designed, built and operationalized the first-of-its-kind data engineering pipelines that facilitate AI OSS integrations with any third-party (3PP) vendor solutions for network elements, functions and network management systems WITHOUT software upgrade. Deployed NIaaS and RIC in multiple cloud platforms (AWS, RHOCP, etc.). AGENTIC DISAGGREGATED SERVICES-BASED ARCHITECTURE EXPERTISE: Highly conversant with agentic AI architectures and disaggregated services-based architecture for telco networks. Successfully designed, deployed and operationalized full-stack AI with disaggregated CUPS/M-plane services-based split architecture for AI capabilities. LEADERSHIP: Hands-on leadership of cross-functional systems engineering, R&D / development, testing and operations, pre-sales solution architect teams across different geographies (NA, South Asia, EMEA, APAC, etc.).STANDARDIZATION: Invented and designed the encoding model for E2SM-RC, the first O-RAN specification that enabled the RIC to control the RAN functions at UE-level over E2 interface, in addition to authoring the specification.
