ABOUT RACHEL F. MARTINEZ

Dr. Rachel F. Martinez is currently an Unlicensed Criminal Psychologist with more than 25 years of experience in law enforcement and corrections. Her career is rooted in extensive service with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, where she developed a deep understanding of criminal behavior, crisis intervention, and the complexities of working within diverse and high-risk environments.In addition to her field experience, Dr. Martinez has served as an Adjunct Professor of Criminology at Reedley College and West Hills Community College. She has instructed courses including Community Policing, Probation and Parole, Introduction to Criminal Justice, Criminal Law, Investigative Report Writing, and Interdisciplinary Studies–College Success. Her teaching reflects both academic expertise and practical insight gained through decades of public safety service.Dr. Martinez earned her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University in 2019. She is currently pursuing licensure through the California Board of Psychology to continue providing psychological treatment within the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR).Known for her ability to connect with individuals from diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds, Dr. Martinez brings strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills to her work.
