I am Dr.R. Raveen and currently working as a Manager - Industry Connect, Assistant Professor in Department of Mechanical Engineering, MSME HI/BI Incharge at Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College. I have completed my Ph.D degree in (Anna University, Chennai) in Tribological behavior of Nanocomposite Surface Coatings. I have completed my M.E Degree in CAD/CAM (Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore) in the year of 2013. I have completed my B.E Degree in Mechanical Engineering from (Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore) in the year 2011. I have completed my Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidhyalaya Polytechnic College, Coimbatore) in the year 2007. I have about 11.6 years of teaching experience in Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College. I am managing industry connect and student innovation activities. My research area of interest focuses on Graphene based Nanocoating\'s and tribology.    As the Industry Connect Manager, I am responsible for fostering strong collaborations between the institute and industries to enhance innovation, research, and skill development. My role bridges the gap between academia and industry, creating impactful partnerships that benefit students, faculty, and industry stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Establish and strengthen MoUs and strategic partnerships with industries, startups, and research organizations. Facilitate consultancy projects, contract research, and industry-driven problem-solving initiatives. Coordinate industry visits, guest lectures, workshops, and expert sessions to expose students and faculty to current trends and technologies. Support industry-sponsored labs, centers of excellence, and innovation hubs to promote advanced skill development. Collaborate with industries to design customized training programs, internships, and live projects for students.Drive participation in innovation challenges, hackathons, and industry competitions at state, national, and international levels. Assist in creating knowledge-sharing platforms and forums for continuous industry-academia interaction. This role enables me to align academic strengths with industry needs, thereby contributing to workforce readiness, collaborative innovations, and the overall growth of the institution’s industry network.
