With over 25 years of experience in fashion education, I am deeply committed to advancing academic excellence and innovation in the fields of Costume Design and Fashion. As the Head of the Department at Nirmala College for Women, I have had the privilege of mentoring both undergraduate and postgraduate students, guiding them to achieve their full creative and academic potential.Throughout my career, I have contributed extensively to the academic community through published articles and book chapters in renowned journals. My scholarly work has enriched the discourse in fashion education, with a focus on blending theory with practical application. I am passionate about fostering a culture of creativity and critical thinking, ensuring that my students are well-prepared to succeed in the dynamic fashion industry.In addition to my teaching and research contributions, I have held significant leadership roles in various academic and professional bodies. I serve as the Postgraduate Chairman at Bharathiar University, and have been a member of the Board of Studies for several institutions. My expertise has also been recognized through my involvement in inspection committees and accreditation processes across multiple colleges.I actively participate as a judge for fashion competitions, a guest lecturer at leading institutions, and a member of academic decision-making committees, all of which allow me to share my knowledge and passion for fashion design. My work extends beyond the classroom, as I continuously strive to connect academic insights with real-world applications, empowering students and colleagues alike.As a thought leader in the field, I remain dedicated to shaping the future of fashion education and supporting the professional growth of aspiring designers.
