I lead the Business School digital transformation projects for teaching and learning. In collaboration with executive stakeholders, I turn strategy to enhance capability that improves module quality, staff productivity, and the student experience. What I do:• Set the vision, roadmap, and OKRs for our learning platforms. Align delivery to university frameworks and enforce standards for consistency and scale.• Own product adoption and migration, including mandated tools. Plan releases, run change and comms, and track adoption and satisfaction.• Embed AI enabled and authentic assessment. Design enablement programmes on AI literacy, create playbooks, and support teams to implement safe, ethical practice.• Run a cross functional community of practice. Share patterns, toolkits, and exemplars, and measure uptake to inform the next iteration.• Use data to drive decisions. Combine usage analytics and feedback loops from staff and students to prioritise the backlog and evidence impact.• Manage stakeholders and risk. Partner with the Digital Futures in Education Lab, Assurance of Learning, Digital Services, and Student Experience teams to maintain accessibility, quality, and compliance.Impact:• More consistent, higher quality module experiences aligned to standards.• A measurable lift in staff digital confidence and student satisfaction.

ABOUT R. ELENA FRANCU

I am a pragmatic, multidisciplinary academic who applies behavioural evidence to improve marketing performance. Insatiably curious and hands‑on, I use creativity to solve business problems across the marketing mix, shape distinctive design across channels, and craft brand stories that move people to act.My focus with industry partners is to extract the human truth behind the value proposition, then translate it into product innovation and marketing communications that deliver and communicate superior value. The aim is commercial impact, whether that is faster adoption, stronger preference or better margins.I enjoy B2B challenges where rigorous thinking and creative execution sit side by side. I work best in teams that prize collaboration, clarity and pace to build brand distinctiveness and deliver work that performs. My knowledge‑exchange projects span sectors including professional services, aerospace, software and ICT, financial services and medical technology. My research shows how team creative problem solving can be explained by objective, fine‑grained behaviours, such as vocalics, proxemics and kinesics, observed in real B2B innovation teams. This evidence base underpins how I diagnose team dynamics and design practical interventions.I also contribute to the field as a reviewer for Industrial Marketing Management, and as an ad‑hoc reviewer for the Journal of Consumer Behaviour and the Judgement and Decision Making journal.Focus areas: evidence‑based strategy development, client communication, creative problem solving, team dynamics for innovation, mentoring.Open to: industry collaborations, marketing communications briefs that need rigorous insight and creative delivery, and product innovation projects.
