ABOUT PRAGNA ROY

I am a dedicated medical professional currently pursuing MD in Pharmacology at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College & Hospital (JNMCH), Aligarh Muslim University. My medical journey began with an MBBS degree from Agartala Government Medical College & Hospital (AGMCH), followed by a comprehensive rotatory internship during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, which reinforced my clinical acumen and adaptability in high-pressure settings. Post-internship, I served as a Medical Officer at ILS Hospital, Agartala briefly, and subsequently as a Resident Doctor and Tutor in the casualty department at Oil India Hospital, Duliajan, Assam—experiences that enriched my understanding of emergency care, inpatient management, and real-world therapeutic decision-making. Currently, as a resident in Pharmacology, I am deeply involved in both academic and translational research. My focus areas include evaluating drug utilization patterns, improving adverse drug reaction (ADR) reporting, analyzing behavioral and systemic factors influencing medication safety, animal studies and clinical trial operation for my study. I am particularly interested in leveraging digital platforms and artificial intelligence to enhance pharmacovigilance systems, streamline clinical trial workflows, and promote rational prescribing practices. In addition to these, I also actively participate in multidisciplinary collaborations and medical education initiatives aimed at fostering ethical, evidence-based, and patient-centered pharmacological practices.
