About Pawan Kumar Raghav
Dr. Pawan Kumar Raghav is an associate specialist in the Immunogenetics and Transplantation Laboratory, Department of Surgery, University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). His research focuses on developing computational and translational approaches to investigate immune and inflammatory mechanisms underlying allograft injury and to identify novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets in solid-organ and bone-marrow transplantation. Dr. Raghav earned his Ph.D. in life sciences from Bharathiar University, with doctoral research conducted at the Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS), DRDO, India. His early work centered on rational molecular design and therapeutic targeting of stem cells. He later served as the principal investigator on a project funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, during which he developed machine-learning–based computational tools for drug discovery and molecular modeling. He has also served as Scientist ‘D’ at AIIMS, New Delhi, contributing to stem cell informatics, cGMP implementation, and tissue engineering research. Dr. Raghav has authored more than 50 publications and holds patents in computational biology and translational medicine.
