ABOUT PABLO BARREIRO
I have over 20 years of experience working in the Field of Nuclear, Materials and Welding Engineering. Currently, I work as Director of Nuclear Planning at Safetec, in Heidelberg, Germany. Previously, I was a Materials Developer at SEW Eurodrive, in Bruchsal, Germany. Before that, I was the Head of Materials Division at the Atucha Nuclear Power Plant (Argentina), leading the Life Extension Project. Afterwards I was the Expert in Materials, Welding and Ageing Management at the Phillipsburg Nuclear Power Plant (Germany), where I evaluated the Long-term behavior of the Reactor Pressure Vessel, its Internals, and Primary Circuit Components under specific mechanical, thermal, radiological and corrosive environment conditions. I also worked as Consultant to the topics Materials Technology, Ageing Management, Structural Mechanics, Component Integrity, Corrosion Resistance, Welding Technology, as well as Root Cause Analysis. Before that I worked as a Scientist during my PhD at the Institute for Applied Materials from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. There I was responsible for the project \"Correlations between Structure and properties of joints” within the Collaborative Research Centre Transregio-10.
