ABOUT NISHA PETER

I am currently a Senior Research Scientist at AstraZeneca leading and establishing on-target and off-target cellular workflows for peptide radio-conjugates, small molecule and PROTAC, on Oncology projects. I have led the cell-biology work in the hit-to-lead phase of an Oncology project funded by Wellcome Trust, in collaboration with a leading pharmaceutical company. Within 1.5 years of my appointment, I have contributed to the nomination of a lead series by developing cellular target-engagement and phenotypic assays.I am well-versed in validating cellular targets to establish structure-function relationships and mechanistic studies. I have also contributed to three publications as a co-author.Skills: Preclinical research, Target validation, Target engagement (Drug Development), CRISPR/Cas9, Cell-line engineering, High-content imaging, Confocal and Wide-field Microscopy, Single Molecule Microscopy, Phenotypic assays, In-vitro assays, Internalisation assays
