As Deputy Director of Technology Enhanced Learning, I am a senior leader in NHS England within the People Directorate, leading nationally on modernising healthcare education and training through digital transformation to improve patient care and implementation of national policy. Strategic leadership: I was the principal architect of the Technology Enhanced Learning function, continuing to lead it through organisational change and new national policy; with a focus on strengthening collaboration both internally and externally across the NHS system. I provide strategic leadership on modernising healthcare education, education reform, responsible AI adoption, simulation, national data standards, national digital systems architecture and workforce policy.Operational management: I manage a multi million pound budget and lead a multidisciplinary team of more than 100 staff. I oversee live digital services and programmes, governance, reporting, benefits realisation, commercial, and legal, communications and publications, organisational development, and continuous improvement. My team engages extensively across systems, managing relationships with thousands of stakeholders and partners at any one time. I oversee:• Delivery of national learning platforms, including e Learning for Healthcare, the Postgraduate Virtual Learning Environment and The Learning Hub.• The development of The Learning Hub as a core national digital service to consolidate legacy platforms and enable the future of NHS life-long learning. • The production of high quality e learning, delivering over 200 hours of expert authored content each year.• Learning pathway redesign for education reform approaches. •Strategic interventions to scale simulation based education, including XR and learning technologies, by stimulating innovation, improving procurement routes. • Building educator capability and capacity, and providing national guidance, including on responsible AI adoption
