About Neha Khan
Done PhD in Power Electronics at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), specializing in the development of advanced cell balancing techniques for series-connected battery cells in electric vehicle (EV) applications. My research focuses on enhancing battery management systems (BMS) to improve battery performance, extend lifespan, and ensure safety: key factors in advancing sustainable EV technology. With expertise in power electronics, cell balancing algorithms, and energy management systems, I am passionate about developing innovative solutions that optimize energy efficiency and reliability. I am actively seeking job opportunities that align with my background, particularly roles focused on power electronics, BMS, or EV technology, where I can contribute my skills to drive impactful innovations in the energy and automotive sectors.During my PhD, I have developed a simulation platform to analyze the proposed CTPTC circuit using a battery pack architecture inspired by the HYUNDAI KONA (98s3p configuration). The simulation modeled a 98s1p configuration using 98 C020 Li-ion cells (3.65 V, 20 Ah), achieving a nominal voltage of 350 V and an energy capacity of 7 kWh. Assumed identical behavior for parallel cells based on established references. The simulated battery pack consisted of ten modules (eight with 10 cells and two with 9 cells) integrated with the proposed cell balancing system. Also, designed and implemented an experimental setup with 24 series-connected Li-ion cells (Panasonic NCR18650) organized into four modules (each modules has 6 cells), enabling both intra- and inter-modular SoC (State of Charge) balancing. Each cell was integrated with two relays and an L-bridge circuit (two IRF447 MOSFETs) controlled by a dedicated microcontroller.
