ABOUT NEEHAR OAK
I am a veterinarian with an MSc in Veterinary Epidemiology from the Royal Veterinary College and LSHTM, supported by a Commonwealth Scholarship. My expertise lies in wildlife health, epidemiology, and disease surveillance, with a strong focus on the One Health approach. With experience as a wildlife veterinarian at CWRC, Assam, and currently working at ResQ Pune, I have been actively involved in disease diagnosis, outbreak investigations, and health management of diverse wildlife species. My work integrates field-based research with laboratory diagnostics to understand and mitigate emerging disease threats at the human-wildlife interface. I am passionate about applying epidemiological principles to wildlife medicine and conservation, aiming to contribute to global health security through evidence-based disease surveillance and risk assessment. I am keen to collaborate on interdisciplinary projects that advance One Health and wildlife disease research.
