ABOUT MUNTASIR ALAM

An accomplished Electrical Engineering professional with extensive experience in leading multi-disciplinary product development teams within the DC power industry. I embrace taking challenges, work with integrity, and provide full ownership while developing new product design, validation, EMI, safety approval, and project management. My passion is to develop new products understanding market requirements, applications, and ROI. I developed management experience in building and leading global product development organizations, aligning state-of-the-art product roadmaps to business strategies. I hired, grown, and organized high tech development engineering staff/facilities with a limited budget and aggressive schedule. I love to engage with large spectrum of customers to advance the core business in every role. • Designing new products for different applications, including automotive battery chargers, telecom rectifiers, industrial UPSs, and inverters; • Extensive experience with analog and digital design of different converter/inverter technology; • Implementation of cost-sensitive product design where high volume manufacturing with high reliability is a must; possess in-depth knowledge of DFMA and design for FMEA; • Extensive experience with EMC testing and mitigation, safety testing and approval; • Solid understanding of capital project budget control and implementation processes, covering design, development, and procurement within current standards; • Possess personal leadership attributes including integrity, trustworthiness, results-focused, high standards, commitment, ethical values, and achievement-oriented with excellent accountability, initiative, judgment, decision-making, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities; •Extensive experience in progressively more complex management/leadership roles in a medium multisite organization managing project design/development and cross-department collaboration; •Highly capable of building a progressive, collaborative, and strategic team by managing and mentoring the team, including conducting appraisal, setting, and monitoring performance KPIs for the team, conducting regular 1 on 1 meetings to exchange constructive feedback with team members; • Patent holder on a hybrid AC-DC power factor correction converter and author of 8 papers in peer-reviewed journals (TPEL and TIA) and conferences (APEC and ECCE), also a Member of
