ABOUT MONISH SENGUPTA

Monish is an experienced Rail Professional and a seasoned Consultant with proven delivery experience in the rail sector for major programmes. He is a leader with over 27 years of experience with core expertise in signalling and systems assurance. With a specialised focus on cutting-edge digital signalling technologies such as ERTMS and CBTC, complemented by his doctoral degree from UCL, he possesses extensive knowledge in telematic signalling and railway engineering in general. Monish\'s experience extends to seamlessly integrating legacy signalling systems with state-of-the-art railway control technologies. Additionally, he is the lead AsBo and ApBo/DeBo for several high profile projects across the globe.During his tenure at the Centre of Transport Studies and the Centre of Civil and Geomatic Engineering at University College London (UCL), Monish engaged in research projects aimed at understanding and resolving location and speed uncertainty challenges associated with CBTC/ETCS-equipped trains. Monish\'s vision is to revolutionise the railway industry by fostering change and innovation, effectively balancing risk and cost.
