Professor of robotics and mechatronics engineering. An out-of-the-box scientist capitalizing on rigorous engineering and mathematical preparations, coupled with hands-on approach and simulation capabilities for solving real-world industrial problems. Focused on the design for manufacturability approach to interdisciplinary applications; mainly MicroElectroMechanical Systems, robotics, assistive robotics technologies, and medical device technologies. Have hands-on experience in various instrumentation and modern industrial systems such as Mitsubishi robots, Fanuc robots, PLCs, AGVs, Additive manufacturing systems, and I/O networking/programming of advanced manufacturing and automation systems. Secured external grants and industrial funds, created advanced manufacturing facilities. Founded academic programs, led program accreditation, improved student enrollment and retention, and lead STEM and workforce development programs. Developed undergraduate and graduate research groups and innovative and hybrid instructional strategies. Developed technical and applied curriculum.
