About Mohammad Abbas
I am currently employed at Kauvery Hospital, Marathahalli, Bangalore Specialized in Cardiac Critical Care, which includes initiation, maintenance, and weaning of ECMO support for cardiac failure patients. Additionally, I have experience with VV ECMO for ARDS and ventricular assist devices such as LVAD, RVAD, and BiVAD, as well as IABP supports as a bridge for transplant. I am skilled in handling a variety of critical care specialties, including neuro critical care, cardiac critical care, toxicology, pneumonia, ARDS, lung protective ventilation (including proning), infections in ICU and Antibiotic stewardship. I have also honed my skills in diagnosing and managing a wide range of medical cases, and am adept at managing CRRT and other forms of renal replacement therapy. I also have expertise in managing pre- and post-transplant patients for heart and lung transplantations. Working as a critical care physician in a tertiary care center, I have handled the resuscitation and management of critically ill patients, including endotracheal intubation, invasive lines, imaging, fluid management, ICD insertions, pericardial catheter insertions, and coordination of various specialties. Furthermore, I am experienced in maintaining excellent interpersonal relationships with colleagues, patients, and their families, and have conducted training for junior doctors and nursing staff. My skills also extend to conducting audits in hospitals, developing quality care in ICU, and conducting research projects.
