About Mitchell Rivas

A college-educated United States Marine Corps Veteran with 25+ years of experience in training, employee development, and customer/client experience (CX). Specializing in inter-organizational knowledge sharing, training curriculum development, and management/business analysis. I help incorporate organizational change to create a cohesive culture between leaders and followers. My expertise includes developing organizational frameworks for training and incorporating high-performing leaders and teams in a variety of industries. Helping start-up nonprofit entities develop and grow through leadership coaching and mentorship is one of many passions to see others succeed. In my government career at the United States Postal Service I helped find ways to effectively and efficiently change ineffective practices through process analysis and critical thinking. My approach combines theoretical processes and practical application to create, stabilize, and sustain changing organizations. As a nonprofit executive I created and manage programs to improve the quality of life for the medically fragile community by working directly with children\'s hospitals and social service organizations. My experience in nonprofit organizations enabled me to serve as the United States Postal Service Loaned Executive for the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) raising over $2.2MM for in-network charities. In accomplishing this goal, I worked with department representatives for various government agencies to ensure campaign goals and benchmarks were met. I also analyzed and reported to the Office of Personnel Management through their government contractor. The CFC analysis and reporting included correspondence regarding ethical practices, tri-state zone market saturation, and employee engagement in the campaign. Additionally, I used my skills in multimedia, content creation, and video editing, by leveraging technology and secure government platforms to reach the entire tri-state zone of nearly Federal employees through web conferencing and video services during the COVID-19 pandemic.I am open to advancing into a leadership role at the USPS or other federal agencies that can benefit from my experience and expertise.
