30 years in biological crop protection. Founder & CEO of Bionema Group (King\'s Award for Enterprise 2024). Founder Chairman, World BioProtection Forum. In 2021, products and technology I developed — including UniSpore® — were acquired by Syngenta in a seven-figure transaction. Earlier in my career, I contributed to the development of Met52®, one of the first globally successful fungal bioinsecticides. Bionema is a biologicals platform company headquartered in Swansea, Wales. We have commercialised 15 products across biopesticides, biostimulants, biofertilisers, and biosurfactants, with active presence in 10 international markets. The platform is anchored by Incapsulex®, a patented microencapsulation technology (5 patents filed; sole named inventor) that improves biological efficacy by 20–30%, supported by ORETO-accredited efficacy testing capability in place since 2015. Our go-to-market is built on licensing and strategic partnerships. The pipeline — including Snailed™, Metar®101, and Incapsulex® — spans TRL 4–8. I founded the World BioProtection Forum in 2019 and authored the first global white paper on biocontrol registration, referenced across industry and regulatory communities.
