About Mike Mpoyi

Dr. Mike Mpoyi is a medical doctor and public health expert with over 18 years of experience strengthening health systems and delivering sexual and reproductive health services, including abortion care, in low resource and humanitarian settings. He has played a significant role in advancing abortion policy and legal reforms and in expanding service delivery across Africa.Dr. Mpoyi currently serves as Associate Director, Quality of Care at the TEX Collective, where he leads the organization’s network wide Quality of Care (QoC) technical strategy. In this role, he sets and maintains quality standards, oversees the development of evidence based clinical guidance, and supports country teams through tools, resources, and technical leadership. He also provides strategic technical expertise and advocacy on national and international committees, represents Ipas in professional forums, and contributes to organizational learning on quality assurance and improvement. He works closely with global clinical colleagues to integrate emerging medical evidence and best practices across the organization.
