ABOUT MICHAEL SIMONIS
I finished my Master\'s in Mathematics with side studies in industrial economics at the University of Mannheim in 2017. I focused on Machine Learning methods and statistical modeling in value chain management during my studies. In addition to my research studies, I have gained work experience in the IT company SAP SE and the consultancy mayato GmbH. I worked at Camelot ITLab from 2017 to 2025, where I specialized in consulting and focused on supply chain management and optimization. Furthermore, I finalized my research studies in 2025 as a PhD candidate in OR and Discrete Optimization & Logistics at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. My research covered the tactical parametrization of cyclic production planning systems. I have been employed at Accenture since 2025. I am an expert in data analytics in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry. Nowadays, advanced analytics at scale and tactical decision support (by simulation and optimization approaches) are common challenges in my projects.
