As an AI Ethicist at Northeastern’s Institute for Experiential AI, I work at the intersection of applied ethics, AI research, and real-world impact. I collaborate with industry partners and academic researchers to build, evaluate, and scale responsible AI practices, helping organizations navigate the ethical, social, and organizational challenges of AI deployment. My role bridges consulting, research, and tool development. I conduct ethics and impact analyses of machine learning use cases, assess institutional readiness for ethical AI, and contribute to the design of practical resources such as RAI frameworks, governance guidelines, and ethics-by-design workflows. I support stakeholder engagement across innovation, compliance, and technical teams, helping clients embed Responsible AI practices within product pipelines and organizational strategy. In addition to client-facing work, I contribute to academic research in AI ethics, epistemology, and the philosophy of technology. I co-develop Responsible AI tools and whitepapers, engage in grant-funded research, and work with interdisciplinary colleagues to shape industry norms through public scholarship and thought leadership.Activities in my first 2 months:Co-developed RAI tools, workflows, and training modules for internal and partner useEngaged in academic research and grant-writing related to AI ethics, epistemic responsibility, and human-machine interactionCollaborated with industry partners to translate philosophical and ethical insights into practical interventionsParticipated in interdisciplinary initiatives that promote transparency, justice, and safety in AI adoption
