From medicine to technology and back again – my little tale of unexpected turns. In my final year of medical school, without financial support from my parents, I faced the colossal task (as many of us did) of preparing for my third state examination while simultaneously earning a living. Days and nights blended into a continuous struggle for time and knowledge between hospital shifts, library sessions, and night duties.During this challenging period, a fellow student introduced me to John, a doctor in need of assistance with the statistical analysis of a study. This encounter fused my enthusiasm for medicine and research with a previously hidden talent: programming. Armed with thick books, I delved into the world of code and databases. John became both a mentor and a friend, with whom I later founded my first company, laying the foundation for my professional future.For our first major client, B.Braun Melsungen, I developed a digital patient record system that revolutionized the planning, production, and delivery of individualized venous nutrition for cancer patients. This project compelled me to self-learn design, UX, and UI – an endeavor enriched by the support of my first employees.Today, I am proud to lead BBMG and SigmaCollect, companies specializing in video, motion design, 3D, and medical animation. They are the result of years of passion and hard work, dedicated to disseminating medical knowledge in an innovative and accessible manner. Since then I belive that the greatest challenges can give rise to the most beautiful opportunities – provided one is willing to learn, adapt, and never lose hope.
