Dr. Carlsohn has a track record in scientific and commercial image processing and communication with 45 years of experiences in this field gathered during his studies of electrical engineering and computer sciences from up to several affiliations in large consumer and in defense industry, as co-founder of related start-ups as well as from several universities in Germany and abroad where he was appointed. In his Engineering and Consultancy for Computer Vision and Image Communication he was dealing with related commercial and industrial developments and applications and drove for 16 years as founding editor-in-chief Springer’s “Journal of Real-Time Image Processing” (JRTIP) to scientific and commercial success and still promotes as chair of SPIE\'s annual conferences on “Real-Time Processing of Image, Depth and Video Information” this fast emerging field. The European Commission involved him over 2 decades as external expert for scientific evaluations and reviews with respect to his expertise and experience in imaging technologies.
