Dr. Matilda Orozco is a distinguished educational leader known for her unwavering dedication to advancing learning environments and leadership development in public education. With a career spanning over two decades, Dr. Orozco has held pivotal roles that have significantly impacted educational practices and leadership development.Currently Dr. Orozco is serving in the position of School Assistant Superintendent at the Aldine Independent School District. Prior to her current position, Dr. Orozco served as the Houston Area Superintendent for the International Leadership of Texas, where she led initiatives that positively impacted the lives of 10,300 students in the Houston/Cleveland/CS area. Her leadership was instrumental in enhancing academic achievement and ensuring the well-being of a diverse student population.Her extensive career includes key positions such as Assistant Superintendent of Technology, Chief School Officer North overseeing 37 schools, Assistant Superintendent of Special Populations, and School Support Officer within the Houston Independent School District (HISD). Her diverse experience also includes roles as Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Administration for the Beaumont Independent School District.Dr. Orozco\'s career highlights also include achievements as a principal at a National Blue-Ribbon School of Excellence, as well as experience as an assistant principal and bilingual classroom teacher. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston, a Master\'s degree in Executive Leadership from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, and a Doctorate in Professional Leadership from the University of Houston Main Campus.
