Experienced C level executive and business architect with strong finance acumen. Resourceful, performance-driven with more than 25 years’ experience in international finance and business development within the consumer-goods, automotive, pension insurance, and banking industries, complemented by a strong academic background in corporate finance, audit and corporate governance. Proven track record in accounting (in accordance with IAS/IFRS and HGB/German GAAP), treasury, controlling, internal auditing, M&A and change management, coupled with finely honed leadership skills and incisive strategic abilities. Astute negotiator with first-hand M&A experience, together with extensive knowledge of corporate restructuring and turnaround programs. Adept at fusing business and financial interests into cohesive game plan. Key accomplishments include acquisition of the Ideal Standard Group, develop and implement a groupwide efficiency program that reduces SG & A costs by 10 %, streamline closing processes to benchmark level, create and implement a master plan to reduce V & Bs carbon emission to zero by 2040, transform the old abbey in Mettlach to V & Bs new headquarters with attractive office space and a new brand world and corporate museum.
