Manpreet is a senior engineering leader with extensive experience shaping strategy, strengthening technical capability, and delivering complex, safety‑critical programmes across Defence, Nuclear, Aerospace, Energy, and Infrastructure. As Chief Engineer within AtkinsRéalis’ Advanced Engineering and Design Consultancy, he provides enterprise‑level direction on systems engineering, systems thinking, and digital‑enabled transformation. He advises senior stakeholders on governance, regulatory alignment, and the integration of engineering and data‑driven approaches to improve decision quality and programme performance.**In his current role, Manpreet leads multidisciplinary teams responsible for designing and assuring mission‑critical systems. His work spans concept development through delivery, with a focus on reducing risk, accelerating execution, and enabling clients to navigate technical complexity with clarity.Prior to joining AtkinsRéalis, Manpreet held senior roles at BAE Systems, including Senior Engineering Manager and Principal Systems Design Authority. He oversaw engineering teams delivering advanced defence systems and played a central role in shaping enterprise‑wide systems engineering capability, influencing standards, talent development, and cross‑functional collaboration.Manpreet’s career reflects a strong commitment to innovation and emerging technologies. In the Energy sector, he led pioneering initiatives such as automated additive repair for subsea assets and the deployment of industrial informatics to synchronise physical infrastructure with digital twins—advancing predictive maintenance and asset integrity.His early career in Nuclear and Space engineering included full‑lifecycle systems development supporting the UK’s nuclear deterrent. He later contributed to NASA’s MARS Program as a structural engineer, specialising in simulation modelling, verification, and validation for high‑reliability systems.He is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the IET, and an active member of INCOSE.
