ABOUT LOGAN M.

With a multidisciplinary background spanning fashion design, business, and communication, I bring a holistic view of the fashion industry. As an academic and industry practitioner specialising in garment Digital Product Creation (DPC), I focus on how 3D design, virtual prototyping, and digital workflows can improve product development. My doctoral research developed the evidence base for this work — exploring how companies integrate virtual technologies into early design and production through case studies and in-depth interviews. The research clarified where and how these tools create value and established a foundation for further study on their broader impact across fashion and textiles. As Head of Research & Insights at INQOVA, I bridge academic rigour with industry relevance. I work with yarn spinners, fabric mills, and garment manufacturers to tackle strategic challenges — from optimising sampling and product development to refining positioning and aligning operations with shifting market realities. Through research-driven frameworks and actionable insight, I aim to make innovation both practical and impactful.I currently lead a research program examining how buyers and suppliers actually work together — mapping the gaps and opportunities that shape sourcing relationships. We are conducting confidential interviews with product developers, sourcing managers, and buyers to capture their real experiences with textile suppliers. These insights inform FIELD NOTES – Buyer Edition, a monthly briefing shared exclusively with participants. If you work in product development, sourcing, or buying and would like to share your perspective — or receive early access to the findings — I would love to chat!
