Experience
Assistant Professor of Management & Entrepreneurship
Jun 2023 — Present · Brookhaven, GA, US
As a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Oglethorpe University’s Hammack School of Business, I teach undergraduate and graduate courses in entrepreneurship, innovation, and strategic management, integrating academic rigor with practical relevance. My work equips future leaders with the tools, mindset, and global perspective needed to launch ventures, address real-world challenges, and lead with impact in a rapidly evolving economy. Each year, I teach five courses built around original, applied curricula emphasizing venture creation, business modeling, capital strategy, and entrepreneurial leadership. Many of my students have launched active startups, won pitch competitions, secured seed funding, and entered accelerators.Beyond the classroom, I mentor student-led ventures across tech, consumer goods, and service sectors, providing strategic guidance and supporting access to capital and incubation opportunities. I also engage actively with Atlanta’s entrepreneurial ecosystem through speaking engagements, faculty advising, and ecosystem-building initiatives. As Founding Director of the Oglethorpe Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center (EIC), I lead efforts to integrate academic programming with regional innovation strategy. I spearheaded the launch of the Entrepreneurship Empowerment Zone, uniting seven neighboring communities into a shared innovation hub. I also deliver international entrepreneurship programming through LeadAbroad at St. John’s University–Rome, Italy (2024 & 2025), where students engage with global business leaders from companies like Merck (MSD) and UPS Italy.A consistent advocate for inclusive, place-based entrepreneurship, I work to secure external partnerships that expand student access to venture-building opportunities. This role continues to serve as a platform to elevate entrepreneurial education, activate regional ecosystems, and connect student visionaries to opportunity across the Southeast and beyond.
