I am a PhD-qualified researcher and Assistant Professor with over 10 years of experience in academia, research, and industry across Electronics & Communication Engineering and Computer Science Engineering. My work lies at the intersection of Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Image Processing, Face Detection, and MATLAB-based system design, with a strong emphasis on real-world, deployable solutions.I hold a PhD in Computer Science/Engineering, with doctoral research centred on face detection under low-light, occluded, and unconstrained environments, hybrid CNN-based models, and robust deep learning-driven computer vision systems. My research focuses on bridging classical techniques (e.g, Viola–Jones and image enhancement) with modern deep learning architectures to achieve high performance, efficiency, and practical applicability.My research contributions include:• 18+ publications in reputed Scopus-indexed journals, international journals and conferences• 60+ citations with an h-index of 4, reflecting growing research impact• Authorship of technical books and book chapters in Computer Science, Image Processing, and Algorithms• Development of a publicly available human face dataset used for academic research and experimentation• Active service as an Conference Reviewer and Program Committee MemberAlongside my research, I serve as an Assistant Professor, integrating research-led teaching, hands-on experimentation, and project-based learning into the curriculum. I strongly believe in global exposure as a catalyst for innovation and have led and accompanied students on international academic and research visits to Vietnam and Malaysia, enabling participation in international conferences and collaboration with global research communities.I also bring industry experience from a globally recognised software organisation, allowing me to translate theoretical research into industry-ready, scalable solutions. In leadership roles such as Director and President of the IIC–MoE Innovation Cell (AICTE-recognised), I have actively promoted innovation, startups, interdisciplinary research, and entrepreneurial thinking among students and faculty.Driven by impact-oriented research, applied AI innovation, and global collaboration, I am actively seeking opportunities as a Research Scientist, Applied Researcher, or R&D Professional to contribute to high-impact projects, mentor young researchers, and collaborate with international research and industry teams.
