CATHARSIS Nashville is to be a holistic healing center providing high-quality psychotherapy, psychiatric medication management, bodywork, prayer/meditation space, and music/art-making space to clients on a low-to-no-fee basis, as well as a café available to the community. We anticipate three phases of development: 1) Funding the endowment, 2) Purchasing property and building the center, and 3) Operating the center. CATHARSIS Nashville will primarily serve individuals with Highly Sensitive Personality who have mood disorders, including those with psychosis-proneness. We plan to raise a sizeable endowment and fund our operating budget from its interest so that we can treat clients regardless of their ability to pay, and without relying on insurance or other third-party payers. As demand for our services increases, we wish to give priority to the under-served BIPOC and LGBTQ+ populations.
