Experienced supervisor charged with developing and implementing infection control and partner services protocols and procedures, fostering relationship with healthcare professions of various disciplines, coordinating and implementing educational activities in the community. Provides consultation regarding both overall STD program operations to clinical staff, interns, and healthcare professionals regarding testing, diagnosis, treatment and follow up of all patients, including GLTBQ patients, as well as their contacts. Maintain central STD computer-based surveillance log to keep track of how many STD clients our county serves and to allow for the detection of certain demographic or epidemiological patterns within the district. Serve as liaison between state STD unit and Clayton County in those areas. Serve as technical assistant or leader of outbreak investigations involving infections and diseases outside the scope of the STD program where necessary. Monitor, evaluate, and communicate with DISs to ensure overall job performance through annual performance reports (in the future, quarterly audits as well). Conduct provider visits to inform physicians and their staff of STD reporting laws, changes in treatment options, and to facilitate a better working relationship among the organizations. Ensure staff is adequately trained to conduct all required task.
