ABOUT KUMUD KANT AWASTHI

I am currently working as Professor at School of Basic & Applied Sciences, K R Mangalam University, Gurugram, India. As the founding Head of the Departments of Life Sciences and Forensic Science, at Vivekananda Global University (VGU), Jaipur, India, I also served as the Administrative Head for the Departments of Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics at VGU. Previously, I worked at the National Institute of Animal Welfare (NIAW) in Faridabad, India, an institute under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF & CC). I have also served as the course coordinator for Animal Welfare programs offered by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, and was invited to the Oxford Centre for Animal Ethics in the UK.My research centers on toxicity assessment of various nanomaterials using both in vivo and in vitro models, with a focus on their safe application in drug development. I am also actively engaged in bioremediation research and latent fingerprint development. I have authored and edited books with esteemed publishers, including Springer Nature, Taylor & Francis, Wiley, and CRC Press. Additionally, I hold copyrights and patents in Germany and India for my innovative contributions.I am a lifetime and executive member of several prestigious national and international scientific societies. I am a nominated member of the Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CPCSEA), Government of India, and am appointed as Lead Environment Auditor for the Environment Audit Program by the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board. I am also a member of the Global Initiative for Academic Networks (GIAN) sectional committee. With over 15 years of experience in research and teaching, I serve on the editorial boards of scientific journals.
