ABOUT KOEL CHATTERJEE
Koel specialises in Academic English in Higher Education as well as in teaching Critical Thinking for Academia and Global Shakespeares. She has interests in crossover pedagogical practices in the classroom and in applying literary research to affect policy change. She is also interested in developing inclusivity and diversity practices in classrooms.She was awarded her PhD in Shakespeare and Bollywood in 2018 and is currently working on a monograph on the history of Bollywood Shakespeares. Recent publications include Rediscovering Shakespeare through exoticism: examining the Mousetrap sequence in Haider for the Société Francaise Shakespeare Journal, 2018, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988): A Neglected Shakespeare Film in Shakespeare and Indian Cinemas, ed Poonam Trivedi and Paromita Chakravarti, Routledge New York, 2018 and Cannibalising Shakespeare: Consumption and Consumer; a conversation piece with Diana Henderson for Eating Shakespeare: Cultural Anthropophagy as Global Methodology, the first book in the new Arden series Global Shakespeare Inverted, ed. David Schalkwyk, 2018. Koel also has interests in organising academic events and has co-organised India-Pakistan-UK: Intertwined Narratives, 2017 in collaboration with RHUL and Tara Arts, Indian Shakespeares on Screen, 2016 in collaboration with BFI Southbank and Asia House and the Shakespeare and Bollywood Conference at Royal Holloway University of London, 2014
