ABOUT KIRSTEN PROTHEROUGH
With nearly a decade of dedicated experience as a Geriatric GP, I am currently the Co-founder of CareBoodle, where I co-lead the development of a cutting-edge app aimed at empowering carers to identify and address delirium in older adults. I was instrumental in leading grant applications and gaining funding to develop our product.As founder of Healthacate, I design and deliver bespoke webinars and workshops for non medical prescribers and carers. I enhance carers\' ability to recognize and manage frailty, bridging the gap between health and social care. My work focuses on positive ageing, living longer and living better. Using the blue zones where people live longer live better across the world to inspire.Frailty and reducing unplanned emergency admissions and promoting better care practices through education and collaboration. With a Diploma in Geriatric Medicine, I am passionate about equipping carers with the skills to provide effective, compassionate care. I am an associate lecturer at the University of Worcester leading their frailty course and teaching non medical prescribers frailty related prescribing.
