Lead a countywide entrepreneur ecosystem initiative strengthening coordination and resource flow across Entrepreneur Support Organizations (ESOs), funders, and public partners; secure grant funding to support implementation.Designed the Entrepreneur Journey Framework, the first system-wide model in Kent County mapping the business lifecycle from ideation through growth and exit to identify service gaps and inequities affecting entrepreneurs from historically marginalized communities.Conduct an ecosystem-wide assessment with Entrepreneur Support Organization leaders to map service delivery across the Entrepreneur Journey Framework and identify each organization’s core service strengths, generating the first coordinated view of service distribution across the regional ecosystem.Lead the development and governance of a regional ecosystem intelligence and data infrastructure, enabling partners to track ecosystem metrics, visualize business activity across industries, and generate more coordinated, data-informed insights across the ecosystem.Co-designed the first regional Entrepreneur Support Organization Summit (January 2025), convening ecosystem partners to strengthen coordination, alignment, and shared strategy across the region.Contribute to the design and evaluation of programming supporting growth- and scale-stage businesses, helping ensure ecosystem strategies address established firms and not only early-stage startups.Advise Entrepreneur Support Organizations on program evaluation, strategic planning, and data-informed decision making to strengthen service delivery and alignment across the regional ecosystem.Guide entrepreneurs through customer discovery and business data analysis to inform strategic decision-making, growth planning, and market positioning.

ABOUT KIMBERLY SLAIKEU
Dr. Kimberly Slaikeu is a systems thinker, entrepreneur, and pattern translator whose work explores how people navigate complex systems and how environments can be designed to remain sustainable over time.With over three decades across healthcare, academia, consulting, and entrepreneur ecosystems, she has worked at the intersection of strategy, infrastructure, and human behavior, designing initiatives and systems that help organizations and communities function effectively under real-world pressure.Her early research examined resilience in African American women, exploring the conditions that allow individuals to move beyond survival following traumatic life events. That inquiry later expanded to include neuroscience, stress physiology, and embodied experience.More recently, Slaikeu’s work has focused on entrepreneur ecosystems, designing initiatives that align support organizations, strengthen regional infrastructure, and build shared data systems that improve coordination across complex networks.Increasingly, her work explores how the same principles that shape organizational ecosystems also shape the ecosystem of the body.She is the founder of BLVCK PAUSE, a space for Black women navigating midlife transitions across health, identity, and purpose.Through BLVCK PAUSE, Dr. Slaikeu is developing the Body Intelligence Framework™ exploring how the body signals when the demands of life and environment exceed sustainable capacity, and what becomes possible when we learn to listen and understand the body as an ecosystem.
