About Khanindra Kumar Bhuyan
A public health expert, with over 30 years of experience in the area of reproductive, preconception, maternal, newborn, child health and adolescents in different states of India and different countries of Asia. Worked in a diverse group of organizations including NGOs (Society for Promotion of Youth and Masses, Delhi), international agencies (Family Health International, India and the United States, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, South Asia Delegation) and UN agencies (UNICEF). Managed UNICEF programmes in multiples states. Catalysed primary health care innovation for universal health promotion of women in the reproductive age group planning pregnancy in Peth and Sinnar blocks of Nashik district, which has been scaled up in the entire state of Maharashtra, covering more than two million eligible aspiring couples planning their pregnancies.
