ABOUT KEVIN LAGRANDEUR
I have more than 25 years of experience teaching, writing and speaking about technology and society, especially concerning AI ethics. Lately, I\'ve been speaking about this at government and business meetings. I spoke to a segment of the EU Parliament on June 6, 2023, about AI and jobs, and I am on a committee to form United Nations guidelines for using worker voice data. I\'m Interested in helping businesses, governments, and the public understand and cope with the explosion of AI, especially explaining what it is, defining how to develop it ethically, and how businesses can work with its coming regulation by such standards as the \"AI Bill of Rights\"(in the USA) and the \"AI Act\"(in the EU). My specialties, honed over 20 years of experience, are: Technology and Ethics; Technology and jobs; Technology and education; and Technology and Society. I\'ve published 2 books, and more than 20 articles on technology and ethics, including AI and ethics. My latest book (with James Hughes) is \"Surviving the Machine Age,\" on how we can cope with technology\'s displacement of human workers. My most recent articles include:\"How Safe is Our Reliance on AI, and Should We Regulate It?” in AI and Ethics Journal. Oct. 2020.(read it here:
