About Ken Taylor

I hold a Doctor of Education degree in Community Care and Counseling, Traumatology. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S), a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT), and an EMDR-trained trauma professional. Over the past decade, I have dedicated my career to building innovative, trauma-informed pathways of care for individuals, couples, and families impacted by addiction, betrayal, and compulsive behaviors. As the Founder of Bright Side Counseling and the developer of The Pivot SC, my work bridges clinical excellence, organizational leadership, and entrepreneurial strategy. I believe that effective healthcare leadership requires more than individual expertise—it requires cultivating strong teams, scaling evidence-based practices, and designing systems that improve both outcomes and access to care. My professional mission is to: Advance clinical innovation in the treatment of problematic sexual behavior and trauma. Empower clinicians through supervision, mentorship, and professional development. Develop sustainable healthcare organizations that strike a balance between business discipline and compassionate care. Develop curriculum and tools that make recovery accessible inside and outside the therapy room. I bring a unique perspective shaped by my service as a retired Senior Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, where I learned to integrate resilience, leadership, and mission focus into every endeavor. Today, I carry that same commitment into the healthcare space - helping organizations, clinicians, and clients navigate change with clarity and purpose.
