ABOUT KATALIN KISS
My legal study and career paths have been unusual, daring, and dominated by work commitments from the beginning. This unique journey has taken me through some of the most respected law firms in Budapest to a Frankfurt IPO and a DAX entry as well as various panel discussion positions and large international equity programs. I started my legal career as a legal assistant for the Corporate M&A practice group of a top-tier law firm in Budapest in 2012 where the partners encouraged me to apply for law school the following year - besides my full-time position. During my studies, I joined Delivery Hero\'s (Berlin) Corporate and M&A Legal team in September 2016 and played vital role in multiple projects leading to the IPO at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in 2017, specifically the roll-over of the employee virtual share program into the stock option program, the syndicate KYC process, and share settlements. The Capital Market Law & Equity Plans team is my current area of focus where I lead the Equity Plans subdivision as a Senior Legal Manager/Counsel. I am responsible for the legal aspects of the Group’s share-based compensation plans (execution of exercise windows, capital increases, share issuance, trading, implementation and management of the equity plans, director\'s dealings) and earned full ownership of this legal area during the IPO. The experience I gained from every phase of the equity plans during the growth of the company (start-up, IPO consolidation, interim solutions, Post-IPO programs, DAX entry) has been invaluable. Delivery Hero is a large, multinational and dynamic (DAX) company where I learn interesting and relevant things on a daily basis, ranging from typical leadership hurdles (hypergrowth brings many challenges to all departments), management accounting and uncharted corners of the German corporate and securities law.
