As Associate Dean – Industry Connect & Entrepreneurship, I play a vital leadership role in building relationships between the institution and the industry, while also fostering a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem on campus by enacting the following responsibilities:1. Industry Engagement & Partnerships: Build strategic relationships with corporates, startups, business chambers, government bodies, and industry associations (e.g, CII, TiE). Facilitate industry-academia collaborations for: Live projects & consulting assignments, Guest lectures, CXO talks, Corporate-sponsored research & case development. Enable MoUs with companies for internships, placements, joint programs, and research.2. Experiential Learning & Curriculum Integration: Embed industry insights into the curriculum. Coordinate projects, internships. Promote faculty-industry collaboration for case writing, consulting, and executive education.3. Entrepreneurship Development: Lead the design and execution of entrepreneurship programs. Mentor student ventures through the institute’s incubator. Integrate entrepreneurial thinking into curriculum via workshops, and guest talks. Facilitate access to seed funding, competitions, accelerators, and investor networks.4. Thought Leadership & Outreach: Represent the school at industry forums and academic panels. Contribute to brand-building through social media visibility. Coordinate industry roundtables on emerging business themes (e.g, sustainability, AI, fintech, ESG).5. Career Enablement & Student Engagement: Support the Career Services team in strengthening placement networks. Help align student career goals with industry trends and entrepreneurship pathways. Organize skill-building workshops on corporate readiness, pitching, startup fundamentals, etc through experts.6. Establishing connect with Industry for the training and MDP opportunities 7. Building an entrepreneurial mindset amongst the students through experiential learning activities.
