Dr. Joseph Varon is a distinguished physician, Professor at the University of Houston College of Medicine, and Chairman/President of Dorrington Medical Associates. He led United Memorial Medical Center and United General Hospital, serving as Chief of Critical Care and COVID-19 units. Internationally recognized, Dr. Varon teaches medicine and surgery and is Associate Dean at Caribbean Medical University.With over peer-reviewed publications, 15 textbooks, and numerous chapters, Dr. Varon is a leading researcher and Editor-in-Chief for Critical Care and Shock and Current Respiratory Medicine Reviews. He is known for pioneering the COVID-19 MATH+ protocol, innovations in selective brain cooling, and describing the “Varon-Ayus” and “Boston-Varon” syndromes.Dr. Varon co-founded Houston’s Medical Prevention and Research Institute alongside Nobel laureate Luc Montagnier.
