An accomplished Information Security leader with extensive IT and Business experience, Joseph has created and led multi-disciplinary teams of professionals for blue chip organisations across a range of sectors; these have included teams responsible for Information Security, Architecture, IT Operations and Business Change, delivering significant and measurable improvements in quality and performance.He has extensive experience liaising with senior stakeholders, up to and including CEOs, Non-Executive Directors and board members. This has included successfully achieving funding for Information Security initiatives and providing briefings on Information Security risk as well as delivering targeted Information Security awareness messages tailored to senior stakeholders. He is a highly effective communicator, with particular strengths in communicating technical complexity to non-technical personnel.Joseph is pragmatic, risk-focused and business driven with extensive experience in regulated environments and with defining and implementing policy and controls. He is particularly passionate about effective risk management through improving awareness of information security threats and has defined and delivered security education and awareness strategies tailored to different stakeholder groups, from board members to front line operational teams. He has experience within operational, strategic and change management domains; his incident response experience includes direct liaison with senior stakeholders up to board level and with external communications teams. Joseph is actively involved in the wider industry and has spoken at both industry and academic conferences across Europe and contributed articles to multiple publications. He completed his PhD in cyber security in 2023 and also holds CCISO, CISM and BCS certificates as well as an honours degree in Biochemistry.
